GNOWANGERUP LADIES HOCKEY CLUB

The first ladies' hockey team in Gnowangerup was made up of the following people: Vera Head (Mrs. Frank Carroll), Connie Head (Mrs. Vin. McDonald), Thelma Gamett (dec. 1991), Grace Garnett (Mrs. Bill We]lstead), Marj. Rowe (Mrs. Richard Pozzi), Gladys Venning (Mrs. Charles Buckingham), Dorrie Venning (Mrs. Herb.Aylmore), Nell Farr, Maisie Farr (Goalie) Later Matron of Kojonup Hospital for 32 years, Marg.Timms (Mrs. Keith House), Gwen Far (Mrs. Mick Clancy), Fanny Hams (Mrs.Geoff Voss). The Umpire was Sid Heath who married Nita Gunther. Sid was employed by Charles Black and later worked in Davies' grocery store.
